I’ve been in ring bound planners for a while now, and I was getting frustrated buying cheaper and used planners only to discover issues with the rings or cheap feeling leather. I decided to bite the bullet and order my first Vanderspek planner.
Vanderspek is a company out of the Netherlands that produces high-quality planners. What sold me is their warranty that covers and manufacturing defects and their ring replacement policy. While some of their custom pieces are WAY beyond my budget, their Touch Me line is ready to ship and much more affordable. I fell in love with their Tabac leather and had been watching buy/sell/trade groups like a hawk, but one never came up. So I gathered my Christmas money and placed my order.
As luck would have it, as soon as I placed my order for a personal sized planner I found an A6 size in the same Tabac leather in one of the aforementioned buy/sell/trade groups for such a good price, I had to order it. Then, I stumbled across a burgundy A6 – which is a pretty rare find. I think you can see where this is going.
So I am now the proud owner of 3 beautiful Vanderspek planners. I’m currently using the Burgundy A6 as my every day carry and I am so happy to be back in that size! The personal is serving as my reference planner. I am keeping things like birthdays, addresses, etc in that planner and I refer to it monthly when setting up my every day carry.
So far I am really loving these planners. They are well-made and set up to be very functional. They leather is very pretty and a nice weight. Soft, but still has some structure. Apparently it is buffalo leather, which is different. I liked that I was able to order my new Vanderspek with 30mm rings, and since they use Krause it would be easy to switch out the other ones.
