It doesn’t seem possible that we are almost halfway through November, but it is in fact time to start your Christmas shopping.
Whether you are a card-carrying-minimalist or just looking to keep it simple this year, it can be daunting to find fun yet functional gifts that aren’t the latest gadget or plastic toy – especially for kids. The minimalist mantra is gift experiences, not things, but let’s get real, kids want a gift to open!
I’ve compiled a gift guide to give you ideas and inspire you on minimalist gifts for girls.
Minimalist Gifts For Girls
I love the concept of this Erin Condren kids planner. This year has been so chaotic, introducing the concept of planning could be really grounding for kids. This planner has super cute stickers and activity pages to make being organized fun.
This planner features the same changeable covers as regular Erin Condren planners, and has a reading log, allowance and savings tracker, doodle and memory keeping pages and more. It’s the perfect functional gift!

I love the idea of a gift that a girl will not only enjoy receiving and using, but one that will help to bolster her faith. This NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible Gift Set is perfect for girls aged 8-12 and includes four colored pencils, and six sheets of stickers. The Bible itself is “leather soft” and feels great in the hand. It has 600 illustrated verses that are ready to be colored in, and plenty of empty margins for notes or creativity.

iPad Keyboard Stand and Organizer
I love the idea of this iPad keyboard and storage organizer as a gift! It’s so useful, yet fun and functional. I’m thinking about gifting myself one.
I absolutely love real books, but the Kindle Paperwhite has darn near converted me to digital. This would make a great minimalist gift for girls in your life because it can hold thousands of books, is waterproof, and is a delightful reading experience. I love how it feels in my hand, and how easy it is to throw in my bag. I rarely buy books for my Kindle as I can borrow them from the library and send them directly to my Kindle. This is a gift your girl will use for years to come.
While experience gifts have their place, there are still many worthwhile physical gifts you can give the girl in your life without adding useless clutter. I hope this gives you some inspiration for minimalist gifts for girls in your life! Now that you’re in gift-buying-mode, check out my Ultimate Ethical Holiday Gift Guide!
