Erin Condren recently came out with their new academic year planners, and a binder system was introduced into their lineup. When I was given the opportunity to try it out, I jumped at the chance! I’ve never met a planner I didn’t like, and this new LifePlanner Binder is no exception.
There are several color options for the binder, but I chose blush. The cover makes this planner a little large (8.57″ x 10″ x 1.75″) to throw in a purse on the go, but it is perfect for keeping as a household or family planner, and it looks so pretty on my shelf! The binder itself is cloth wrapped, and the inserts are the same 80# Mowhawk paper they use in the regular LifePlanners. You can choose colorful or neutral, as well as decide between hourly, vertical or horizontal layout for your inserts.
I chose the neutral vertical. For an additional $5 you can choose to personalize your binder with up to 4 initials or letters, and can also choose what color of foil you would like for the embossing. I chose rose gold because it is SO pretty with the blush color! I wish there was the option to choose the color of the rings in the binder, but as of now you aren’t able to.
There’s been quite a bit of talk about the new 8 ring system in the binder. All of the snap in accessories for the coiled planners will work with the rings. I’m hoping that they will introduce additions, like budget or meal planning inserts in the future. In the meantime it would be pretty simple to add your own inserts using a single hole punch.
I really love the new Kaleidoscope design, especially in the neutral color pallet. The redesign of the page right before the monthly layout is the best they have come up with so far!
While there are a few tweeks I would make to the planner (isn’t that true of all of them tho?) I was really pleasantly surprised by this binder. It far exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait for July so I can start using it!
