Diffusing is one of my favorite ways to use my essential oils. My diffuser is running almost night and day!
When I first got my kit I tried all of the oils. I was like, “Oh, this frankincense smells good, I should diffuse it!” Then, when I ran out approximately two weeks later, I got online to order another bottle. It went something like this.
“Oh there’s Frankincense. Add to cart. Wait … $73???! *thump*”
That was me falling out of my chair.
Ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic, but if you are a fan of diffusing no doubt you too have faced the sticker shock of flying through more expensive oils.
So what’s a diffuser addict to do? Diffuse less? Heck no! Young Living has a ton of oils that are under $20, so you can continue to diffuse blissfully around the clock without draining your bank account.
Here are a few of my favorite diffuser recipes on a budget:
RC + Rosemary
These two oils together create an uplifting, energizing diffuser combo. Whether you need a little boost to the brain or nostrils, this will do the trick.
Christmas Spirit + Nutmeg
Want your house to smell like you have been baking all day? Or nostalgic for a bit of the holidays? Mix Christmas Spirit with some nutmeg and you will be one with the holidays. Plus, nutmeg has energizing and soothing properties, so don’t worry about any family drama the holidays may conjure up.
Valor + Cypress
Valor is an all-time favorite oil based on scent alone, but combined with cypress creates an earthy, manly scent. This combo can support feelings of security and confidence, so diffuse away!
Citrus Fresh + Lime
Lime is one of my favorite oils. I love diffusing it by itself! But combine it with Citrus Fresh for an extra punch of energizing, uplifting citrus smell! I can’t help but smile when this is in my diffuser.
Cedarwood + Christmas Spirit
I don’t even like Christmas, so bear with me on all the holiday themed combos. But if you want your house to smell like you are in a forest, this is your go-to. I also like Cedarwood with Lime.
Spearmint + Tangerine
Yum. That’s all you need to know about this combo. It smells like the tastiest gum you have ever chewed. Please don’t lick your diffuser.
Eucalyptus Blue + RC
Now, for some, Eucalyptus Blue is an acquired taste. I LOVE the slap-you-in-the-face, refreshing smell you get when you mix these two.
Citrus Oils
Lemon, Orange, Lime, Tangerine, Grapefruit, and Jade Lemon all smell amazing on their own, or paired with other singles and blends. You really can’t go wrong with any of these.
This is in no way a comprehensive list – the combination possibilities are endless! But, I hope it gives you some ideas and inspiration for diffuser recipes on a budget. Every single oil I listed in this post is UNDER $20! If you don’t have a diffuser yet, I recommend this one.
What are some of your favorite diffuser combinations that don’t break the bank?
