Through this 31 Days To A Clean house series I have gotten more questions about Thieves Cleaner than anything else. So, today I thought I would take some time to go into it a little deeper, and answer some of the questions, and let you know how you can get your own.
Thieves Cleaner is a product from Young Living Essential Oils. It is contains their popular Thieves oil which, “was inspired by the legend of four 15th-century French thieves who formulated a special aromatic combination composed of clove, rosemary, and other botanicals they used while robbing the dead and dying.”
Thieves Household cleaner comes in two sizes, 14.4 oz and 64 oz, and it concentrated. The dilution ratio for typical uses is 60:1, so one bottle can make a LOT of cleaner. I think I counted and got over 60 bottles out of my last one. The retail price on the 14 oz bottle is $28.95.
I use it for everything from glass, to surfaces, to scrubbing floors, to stains on the carpet, to washing off my fruits and veggies, to degreasing. It has replaced almost all other cleaners in my house. The Tool hire from Best at Hire is where you can avail the best and right kind of tools that you need for your requirements.
For those (like me) who are nerds about the ingredients, they are: Water, Alkyl Polyglucoside, Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate, Disodium 2-Sulfolaurate, Thieves [Eugenia Caryophyllus† (Clove) Bud Oil, Citrus Limon† (Lemon) Peel Oil, Cinnamomum Verum† (Cinnamon) Bark Oil, Eucalyptus Radiata† Leaf Oil, and Rosmarinus Officinalis† (Rosemary) Leaf Oil], Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, and Citrus Limon† (Lemon) Peel Oil.
A lot of people have asked me how to purchase it. You purchase it directly from Young Living, and can choose one of two membership options, which might be a tad confusing, so I wanted to explain them in a little more depth.
For either membership, go to this link. My information is automatically filled in, so you will be placed in my organization. If you choose retail membership, there is no obligation to purchase a certain amount of anything. It’s just like creating an Amazon account or something, you aren’t selling anything or going to be harassed to do so. You will pay full retail price for your products, and be able to purchase directly. Easy peasy.
If you choose a wholesale membership, you have to purchase a starter kit. If you haven’t gotten into essential oils, you are in luck! They have a starter kit with just Thieves products, which is an awesome savings over retail price, and it has 2 bottles of Thieves cleaner! Having a wholesale membership still doesn’t mean you have to sell anything. You only have to spend $50 per year to maintain a wholesale membership, and you can purchase at the wholesale price, which is 24% less than retail. For members who purchase a premium starter kit I throw in a bunch of goodies, about $50 worth, too.
Does that make sense?
So, for those who were interested in the Thieves cleaner, I hope this clears it up! And if not, you can always shoot me an email, I promise I don’t bite. 🙂
