It’s hard to believe that gift-buying season is upon us again, but Christmas will be here before we know it. I have most of my shopping done already, but most people I have talked to haven’t even started. The top complaint I have heard is “I have no idea what to buy!” Teenage girls can be tricky to buy gifts for, especially if you want to choose an intentional, useful gift. Since I have been the mom to a teenage girl for several years, I pretty much have this category down!
Back away from the iTunes gift cards and cheap makeup sets, and check out some of these gifts that your teenage girl will not only use, but also love!
Gift Guide For Teenage Girls
$50-100
The Amazon Echo recently came out in a new size and with new color options. We have drank the Alexa kool aid in this house and already have a few devices. What makes this great for a teenage girl’s room is that it can be used as a Bluetooth speaker, alarm, timer, to ask for homework help, and even to communicate with other rooms in the house without a cell phone present. We have started banning cell phones in bedrooms after finding a certain someone up texting til the wee hours one too many times. This brings back the convenience of having a cell phone, without the usual hazards and pitfalls.
While this can be used as a Bluetooth speaker for said cell phones, it can also play music from the Amazon library. I have come across very few songs that weren’t already included in the Prime library. If you subscribe to Amazon Music Unlimited or Spotify you can also stream those services through this device.
Something I consistently gift my teenage girl is an Erin Condren Lifeplanner. My teenager doesn’t have the disposable income to be able to afford a $55+ planner, but it is So functional for her between work and school. Erin Condren has all sorts of different types of planner from academic to hardbound planners. They come in fun colors and have customizable, interchangeable covers.
$25-50
Another one of my go-to gifts for my teenager is quality skincare products. Again, most teenagers don’t have enough disposable income to use high-end everything, but it is such an important time for the to take care of their skin. We really like the Philosophy Purity Made Simple cleanser for my teenager, and they always have great gift sets. If you aren’t sure what line or product would be best, stop into your local Sephora store and ask for a recommendation.
A nice piece of jewelry is always a great gift for teenage girls, and I love these personalized bangles from Etsy. I find this is a good age to introduce them to some quality pieces that they can keep for years, yet not so expensive that it will be a big deal if they are lost or ruined. They are teenagers, after all!
$25 and under
One of my favorite, practical gifts is a nice water bottle. We like these Camelbak Eddy bottles. They are great to throw in a backpack, and fit in my daughter’s locker at work. One of my favorite features is that the mouthpieces and straws are replaceable, so these will last for years.

One gift I am excited about giving this year is the Adored: 365 Devotions For Young Women book. This is a daily devotional that tackles issues relevant to teenage girls like bullying, social media, and dating. I like that it breaks each day down into a main verse, but includes other verses if she has time to look them up. There are even a few lines at the bottom for her to add her own notes and thoughts.
Teenagers, especially teenage girls, have so many voices telling them that they aren’t good enough. Sometimes even my voice is complaining about something or another. I can’t think of a better gift than showing them how much God truly adores them! You can check out the inside of the devotional and access some free downloads here!
I loved this devotional so much, I’m giving away a copy to one of my readers! Enter in the widget below and leave a comment letting me know if you have started with your Christmas shopping!
I hope this post has given you some great gift ideas for the teenage girls in your life. Stay tuned for my other gift guides!
