Homemade Vegan Brownies

veganbrowniesWe are serious snackers in my family, so I am always looking for a good recipe for something munch. I have been working on a brownie recipe for a while (texture is an issue with vegan brownies!) and here is what I have come up with.

I threw some raw walnuts and cashews on top of this recipe, and will throw some chocolate chips on next time! Tweak it to your taste and snack away!

Ingredients
  1. 2 C flour
  2. 2 C sugar
  3. 3/4 C cocoa powder
  4. 1 t baking powder
  5. 1/ t salt
  6. 1 C water
  7. 1 C vegetable oil
  8. 1 t vanilla extract
  9. nuts, chocolate chips, etc
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Mix everything together, pop it in a 9 x 13" pan, bake for 30 minutes, and try not to eat the whole pan.
